My Son Loves the Ben Ten Games

My son really loves these ben ten games. I happened to find this site when I was searching for some games to keep him entertained on days where it was raining and he could not go out and play. I am very picky and tried out the games first to make sure they were appropriate for his age.I actually enjoyed some of the games as well even though I’m not big on online games. The alien car racing and alien motorbikes are just two of his favorite games to play. But with literally hundreds of games to choose from he rarely gets bored playing them which makes my life so much easier. I enjoy the fact that these games are not violent, bloody or sexually explicit as my son is only twelve years old. It is a great site for children of all ages and that is really nice to see.

Living with a Guilty Conscience

It was 1985, I was ten and rebellious when I had my first experience living with doing the wrong thing which lead to a guilty conscience. It was the year I learnt to lie. My twin brother and I weren’t fed very well but I wasn’t skinny because I’d steal food off kids at primary school-getting fed at home was hard. Food was hidden around the house, kitchen cupboards were empty, cold food was locked up in the fridge in the garage. It was like food was a dirty word. The old lady didn’t like cooking, and the old man was too busy trying to save sheep from footrot, so some times we’d go and get the guinea pig food and threaten to eat it if we weren’t given something to eat. I often wondered what the hell the meaning of life was and what the hell is love during those times. My brother and I had to be very resourceful when it came to eating.
One Sunday morning, when no one else was up, I was in a rebellious state and wasn’t concerned about the consequences, I hadn’t yet experienced a guilty conscience and plus my soul was very hungry! I went into our 70′s style kitchen, with the ferns hanging from the ceiling and the brown coffee mugs hanging on hooks, where the only view of food was the fruit bowl full of month old oranges. Well I was sick of month old oranges! I wanted something hot and yummy. I had an idea.
I woke up my brother and tiptoed into the main bedroom to steal the coins that were on the top shelf. We hopped on our bikes and rode to the milk store. We went straight to the freezer and bought a cheap large frozen pizza. Our mouths were watering. We were excited. We peddled as fast as we could back home. Once home we put the oven on and put the pizza in. While waiting for the pizza to cook we went outside to feed the budgies and chatter about the meaning of life. My brother’s courage was fading, all he wanted was love, but my boldness encouraged him to still be my partner in crime. Fifteen minutes later our pizza was ready. We ate it with glee. We turned the oven off and went back to the budgies.
Half an hour later the old lady walks outside, says the oven is warm, did anyone turn it on? My boldness faded and I couldn’t tell the truth. My first lie! I said no. She walked away, I couldn’t look at my brother, I couldn’t look at the budgies, I had just had my first experience of what it felt like to have a guilty conscience. Maybe it’s a part of our human condition to lie?
In 2011, the old lady is rushed to hospital, possible food poisoning the doctors say. When I visit her, I spot a bowl of oranges triggering my 26 year long guilty conscience. I decide to confess to my lie.

I love my Lani uke! Marrying My Kitten

I was just sitting on the lounge watching tv when my cute little cat walked into the room. I started thinking about how much I adore him and this in turn got me thinking about people I have seen on tv who marry their pets. At first it sounds quite odd I guess, it did to me at least and I like to consider myself as an open minded individual. After some consideration I actually started to think it might be a cute way to express my love of my kitten Bill. I phoned up my best friend and she said it would be cute so we decided we will host a small, intimate wedding whereby I can marry my cat. I will invite my closest friends and will hire some wedding photographers to photograph the occasion for us to remember it. It will all be in the name of fun and light hearted humour so don’t get too freaked out!
