I am radically cleaning out my closets. There are three: the hall closet, the two linen closets (my clothes have overflowed into one of them) and our primary walk-in closet. It is always amazing to really dig into every box and them put each item on. You realize that about half of it either does not fit or you’ve never liked it. So suddenly there is a lot of room in my closet. I might be tempted to get more clothes, but I don’t feel that way. And if I do get more clothes, it will be to upgrade the items I have. Like I would love to ditch my 3/4 length black walking coat for a full length dress coat. Alas, I do not have $300 to get the kind of quality coat that I want. Not now. Maybe after I finish doing all these eBay auctions, I might have some money left over.

Staying Motivated While Learning New Things

I have been tinkering with learning how to make money from home for several years, but never really committed to it. I started my first site, but never really put any effort into it and really didn’t know a thing about how to get traffic to it.
So, after a month I did nothing with it and it died. I messed with a couple of Blogger blogs, but ended up with the same result. It was just overwhelming and had no idea what I was doing.
A good friend of mine, who is honestly more driven than I am has gotten into Internet marketing and he is seeing some real success for one of his sites. He turned me on to some of the things he has learned and it finally started to click a little.
My friend and I talked some and he shared what he had learned about getting traffic to his website. After several years of tinkering, it finally is starting to make sense and I can visualize how it works. If I can’t visualize it, I have a hard time staying motivated. That is a fault of mine that I have learned.

There’s no worse feeling in the world than thinking that you are a failure, and even though most people can think up a number of viable money making ideas, they allow fear to hold them back and paralyze them.
