My Brother and the Caveman Diet

My brother is starting a new diet that he calls the caveman diet. He was laughing about this with his wife, saying that since he’ll be eating like a caveman he might start acting like a caveman. Of course, she didn’t think that was too funny but she said he already does act like a caveman. She was joking because she really is excited for him to changing his eating habits. The caveman diet, otherwise known as the Paleo diet, is a diet that consists of only real food that is natural. The basic foods for the Paleo diet are meats and vegetables. These are my brother’s favorite foods and always have been. He has always had a problem eating dairy products and grains because his body finds it difficult to digest those types of foods. His diet has always been only meats and vegetables but now that there is a name for it his wife can find Paleo Diet Recipes.
When she started researching about the Paleo diet, she learned that the meats that the Paleo diet uses come from pasture raised animals. This is because the Paleo diet is a diet of real food, meaning that the food comes from nature. Neither my brother nor his wife had ever considered eating this type of meat. They have made a few recipes using this type of natural meat and they say the texture and taste of the meat is different than what you find in the meat section of the supermarket. They purchase the meat from a local farmer that they found through the Weston A. Price Foundation. The foundation has a local chapter that has been a blessing in providing education and information about real food and where to find it. Even though they just started this way of eating, they already feel healthier.

When firing up your BBQ the most basic fuel you can use is natural charcoal. Basically its the bunt petrified wood not the condensed kind like the brickets.
