When I was almost twelve years old, my parents decided to buy me a matching set of bedroom furniture that would be nice, solid, and something I could keep with me all of my life. We walked around in the stores, and my mother asked me what I liked and what I did not. I liked oak furniture, and it quickly became apparent that she did not like this answer, as she did not like my selections at all. Instead of listening to my interests at the age of twelve, she made the assumption that she could judge what I would like when I was older better than a young me could, and selected something different. See I don’t get that because with really cheap low quality furniture like that you are just going to have to replace it in a few years and you are going to be miserable with it till then. Well ventilated, with adequate sunlight, the house has 3-phase power supply, 24hour running water. The nearest bus stop is just a stone’s throw away, the railway station is within walking distance, the airport is just 15 minutes by car and taxis / auto rickshaws are easily available. We enjoy a busy working life and a serene atmosphere at house. The house has become our home indeed.
