Untidy streets are mostly a result of the people who walk or drive by those streets everyday. It is easy to blame the city and say that it should step up the efforts to clean up and keep the streets clean and organized, but if there were not people who threw away their garbage on the streets there would not be much of a problem.
In fact, I think my city does a fine job of trying to deal with garbage – I often seen many a whale tanker cleaning up the streets.
As long as there are enough garbage cans and places to dispose of your trash the city is doing most of its job. What people do not realize when they throw their garbage on the streets is that this reflects a lot on what type of person they are and their actions say a lot about themselves,even if they think it is not a big deal,and it actually says that a lot of people in the area have this same attitude towards their environment. Clean and organized streets begin with the people who live in the area. I make sure I always clean up after myself and throw my garbage where it actually belongs because I know this reflects on me and what kind of person I am,and I like to look at tidy streets.
