In most Western and Anglo sort of communities of developed economies (and we’re not necessarily talking about race here, we’re talking about societies and communities), you’ll find that cardiovascular disease is a huge issue. And the reason is that the heart, it’s evolved a sole purpose and that sole purpose isn’t being fulfilled or met, and so what that’s lead to is a largely unused heart, and overqualified heart some would even say. But it’s not like we’re going to evolve heart valves that are meant to be Kosher with us being at the desk all day. It’s not going to happen overnight anyway. So what we have to do is we have to keep “feeding” the heart its primordial needs and requirements; the heart needs good cardio workout plans; it needs a diverse set of plans. Different trainings have yielded different hearts, as a study that examined rowers versus basketball players’ hearts.
