My husband’s big do-it-yourself project this summer was tearing up our old driveway and pouring a new one. After he had all the old one tore up, we re-designed the layout of the driveway. I wanted a circular drive in front of the house. After all the concrete was poured and it had set, he used a concrete sealer to help protect it. It really does look nice and has added a lot of curb appeal to our home. He said that every year he will pressure wash it and reseal it so that it will last us forever. We had a barbecue at the end of the summer and everyone loved the new driveway. It really helped to boost my husband’s ego, which helps motivate him to tackle more projects around the house. Of course, I have a long list of projects for him to tackle. That is one of the joys of owning a home, there is always something to do around here.
